The new town hall of Wiesbaden is over 130 years old and built in the Renaissance style. Originally planned by Georg von Hauberrisser and completed in 1887, the main wing was rebuilt in 1951 according to modern criteria after being destroyed during the Second World War. The rear part with the access in the main wing has been preserved in the original. The entire building is a listed building.
The last general renovation took place at the end of the 1980s, and there is now an urgent need for action, especially with the technical systems, as reliable operation can no longer be guaranteed.
