Transfer of a SAM-TOON temporary solution
The Hessian Center for Data Processing (HZD) is one of the leading IT service providers in Germany.As a state company, it supports the Hessian state administration in the use of information and communication technology. At two locations - in Wiesbaden and Huenfeld - more than 1,000 employees develop innovative, high quality, reliable and competitiveIT solutions for modern administration.
Currently the HZD uses software asset management (SAM) tool from the manufacturer Snow. This tool is used to manage and monitor the software licenses used. Now the HZD is aiming to replace this technology with a new SAM tool in order toto meet the increasing demands on the IT infrastructure. The focus of the tender is focused on the following three (3):
1. Comprehensive tools functionality:
The new SAM tool has to offer out-of-the-box the market-customary range of functions. This includes a detailedMonitoring and management of software licenses, automation of license management processes and the ability to map complex licensing models.
