Transformation from SAP IS-U to S/4HANA Utilities at Frankfurt/Main Airport
Fraport AG is in accordance with the Federal Network Agency's role model Location 'Frankfurt Airport' distribution network operator as well as basic measuring point operator in the energy industry role understanding. Since 2015 Fraport AG uses the SAP industry software for utilities (SAP IS-U) to map its energy industry processes. SAP has discontinued maintenance of the SAP IS-U solution used at the end of 2027, so that Fraport will continue to use one beyond 2027 as part of the "SAP IS-U NextGeneration" project A modern and future-proof digital solution was developed to map business processes and a transformation to S/4HANA Utilities was planned. All relevant legislative requirements for the energy industry processes depicted must be taken into account and a high degree of standard proximity can be achieved.
The following are the services provided by the contractor as part of this S/4 transformation of the old SAP IS-U ECC 6.0 solution and later operational support services are described. The transformation is scheduled to be completed in Q3 2027.
With the upcoming System transformation, the following objectives must be met by the contractor as part of the implementation service:
