Description:
The organization of repatriation measures by air and sometimes also by sea or land (in cooperation with the administrative enforcement groups) is carried out at LAB NI in the flight repatriation and coordination department. There are returns, deportations and deportations to Europe Planned, booked and carried out abroad and worldwide. The legal basis for this is the Residence Act (AufenthG). In order to carry out this task, LAB NI requires various services to be carried out by a travel agency. In order to ensure efficient and economical processing, To ensure the organization and booking of travel services in the area of repatriation measures, continuous and expert support is necessary. In the years 2023 and 2024 (01/01 - 31/10/2024) a total of 5,623 repatriation attempts were made (2023: 2,836; 2024: 2,787), which were preceded by corresponding booking requests. In around a third of the repatriation attempts, hotel bookings were planned for accompanying persons. The Lower Saxony state reception authority is also authorized to make flight bookings itself via FAR (Frontex).
