Description:
For the Technical University of Berlin, at Fasanenstrasse 89-91, a new mathematics building (Mathe) and a new research building for an interdisciplinary center for modeling and simulation (IMoS) are to be built in the immediate vicinity.

The new mathematics building covers a usable areahe of approx. 14,700sqm. In addition to large lecture halls and central teaching areas, there is also a specialist library, a cafeteria and a large amount of office space for teaching. The gross floor area is approx. 33,300 sqm. A 6-storey, partially 7-storey compact building with two is plannedInner courtyards, large foyer and open staircase.
The new IMoS research building has a usable area of approx. 5,700 square meters. Among other things, 3D laboratories, computer rooms, the graduate school as well as office and meeting rooms for research and interdisciplinary exchange are to be accommodated. The GFA isapprox. 12,500sqm. A 6-story, compact building is planned with an inner courtyard and an open staircase, a conference area and a 3-D laboratory on the ground floor.
Both buildings are planned with a reinforced concrete structure with a curtain wall.
For both buildings, the planning was carried out with the aspect of sustainability in mindefficient construction in the sense of an innovative energy and cost-efficient building concept. The aim is for a BNB "Silver" certification.

The (structural) completion IMoS is planned for II-2024 and Mathematics for II-2025.
