- New construction of the Wittenburg compressor station
The VS Wittenburg comprises the new construction of a total of 3 compressor units at the Wittenburg location. To increase the transport capacities, three electro-compressor units are (E-compressor) in an encapsulated version with a drive power of approx. 14 MW each with the associated side and auxiliary devices.
The connection of the VS Wittenburg to the existing gas high pressure line takes place via
two connection lines from a new barrier station In the nominal width DN 1400, with an interpretation pressure DP of 100 bar, which is integrated into the NEL inventory by using it. The barrier station is equipped with at least one main shut -off fittings with bypass. The connection lines are first used by a pressure -resistant cap from physically separated above -ground part of the compressor station. The physical connection of the subsequent underground part, with the above -ground part of the compressor station, takes place at a later date.
