Description:
The University of Cologne has decided to update the structural master plan 2040. Much of the projects of the current master plan 2030 are already in planning or implementation, but in different planning phases and construction progress. Some projects are in theStatus of project development or are planned for this. The economic and formal boundary conditions of the current master plan 2030 (Q4/2021) have changed very much in the past 4 years, so that a revision and supplement to previously rather subordinate planning elementssuch as hybrid teaching, new work and sustainability requirements are to be integrated more. In addition, in addition to structural solutions, the University of Cologne also considers developing alternative solution scenarios in order to use their existing areas more efficiently and open space conditionsto cover real estate by means of purchase or rental. An essential part of the advice is improved land use and occupancy planning. The result must flow into the portfolio plans. Possible synergies from mobile work and desksharing models are in the adviceto integrate and take into account.
