Description: At the end of 2018, the University of Cologne was awarded the contract for the Cluster of Excellence ML4Q = Matter and Light for Quantum Information.
Plan: Construction of a permanent three-story modular building on the site of the former parking lot of the physical institute.
Great emphasis is placed on the design of the facade.
Construction of a clean room (approx. 150 sqm) and laboratory (approx. 300 sqm) including a yellow light laboratory and a gray room area.
Air conditioning, laboratory supply and gas monitoring required: electricity, LAN, cooling water, central gas supply from a gas cylinder cabinet with gas connections for various gases, compressed air, pump exhaust, etc.
Planned clean room class ISO 7 or 8, air pressure 15 Pa for the lock and 30 Pa for the two clean room areas (the exact specifications are still to be determined).
