• The Greater Braunschweig Regional Association, the City of Braunschweig and the City of Wolfsburg each operate their own transport model. The traffic models are calibrated to the 2018 analysis status and form the DTVw5 for the modes walking, cycling, MIV, public transport, passenger and freight transport. These model states are to be updated to 2026/2027. The year of analysis refers to the year in which the model was created and can vary due to the successive development or the time Model dependencies vary (e.g. the 2026 regional transport model and the 2027 urban transport models). The regional transport model forms the basis for the development (coupling) of the two urban transport models (Braunschweig and Wolfsburg).
