Description:
The roof sealing of the main roof of the industrial building at Schwiesaustraße 6 in Magdeburg has exceeded its useful life and requires fundamental repairs. The area around the building between Wasserkunststraße, Nachtweide, Schöppensteg and Schrote still has an extremely high degree of surface sealing today. In this area of the Neue Neustadt there are comparatively very few unsealed green spaces and the area is not resilient to environmental pollution. The planned one Green roof therefore takes up several measures of the state capital Magdeburg's building green concept. It can therefore contribute to a significant improvement in the microclimate and protect infrastructural facilities during heavy rain events represent. A total of around 3,400 m² of roof area will be renovated and around 3,000 m² of the roof area will be equipped with an extensive green roof. The roofing of the vehicle hall (inner courtyard) is not included.
