Netap-memory component for replacement and expansion of existing storage systems from Tik
The technical information and communication services (TIK) of the University of Stuttgart operates several integrated storage systems from the manufacturer NetApappWith the total capacity of several PB. One of the existing systems (FAS cluster) is used to provide the fileservices for the university members and as part of the BW-Storage-For-Science state project. This cluster has to be used via a FAS70HA - with 6 (six) DS460C -HELVES60x10tb disk plates and 2 (two) FAS70 controller - replaced or expanded. The requirement that this expansion must be realized exclusively with the components by the manufacturer NETAPP is reasoned by:
i) Need to integrate the integration of new to be installedHardware with the remaining parts of the hierarchically built system in the datacenter of the client (in particular as part of the flex pod with the servers from the Cisco as well as virtualization solutions from Broadcom),
II) Ensuring an interruption-free operation during the migration of the data from theAffected fileservices,
