Description: The Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy E.V. intends to convert an electrically powered e-Hoftrac 1160 from the company Weidemann to LiFePO4 battery system as part of the SUNBOT research project. The aim of the conversion is to extend the operation time of the vehicle and minimize the charging time. Currently a 48V 300 AH lead acid battery is installed in the e-Hoftrac 1160. This can be charged over a 230 V household socket in 6 hours and allows a use time of up to 1.5 hours.
