Description:
The municipality of Bernkastel-Kues intends to carry out a comprehensive energy-saving renovation of the Cusanus primary school in the Kues district. The planning services required for this should be procured. The Cusanus primary school is located at Schulstrasse 2 in 54470 Bernkastel - Kues. She is one two-class primary school with 170 to 180 students and therefore the largest primary school in the area of responsibility of the Bernkastel - Kues municipality in terms of both the number of students and the buildings. The school consists of three components: an old building (basement, built around 1900, two full floors), Extension (basement, built in 1994, two full floors) and gym/canteen (built in 2012). The "old building" component is to be renovated. The old building is a solid construction with uninsulated quarry stone masonry and double-glazed wood-aluminum windows. Among other things, measures are required for the insulation of ceilings and facades and summer heat protection. The existing gas boiler must be replaced with a pellet system and the heat distribution converted to low temperatures. Decentralized ventilation devices should be installed. The proportion of renewable heat and waste heat in the building must be at least 70% after the renovation.
