- The federal building department, belonging to the authority for urban development and living of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, is one of four departments of the Office for Building Regulations and Building Construction. It takes all the federal construction tasks for the federal lines in Hamburg by means of the organ loan.responsible building management. In particular, the federal building department is responsible for the planning and implementation of new, renovation and expansion buildings including repairs and renovations on the federal military and civilian properties. Military properties include theBundeswehr Hospital Hamburg, the Bundeswehr management academy and the University of the Bundeswehr (Helmut-Schmidt University). Civil property includes the federal police, customs, the Federal Office for Sea shipping and hydrography, the technical relief organization and the German Weather Service.Other tasks of the federal building department include construction user advice, creating construction reports and evaluations as well as participation in measures in the federal grant construction.
