Description:
The city of Metzingen intends the general renovation of the main building, including the middle of the five-day Dietrich-Bonhoeffer-Gymnasium in Metzingen. After a realization competition for an expansion was carried out as a specialist class building of the Dietrich-Bonhoeffer-Gymnasium in 2020. Currently a new building for the scientific classrooms that were previously housed in the main building. The clearing rooms are to be dismantled as classrooms. The main building is to be upgraded by a new, attractive main entrance and larger development areas. The main building consists of the north wing, which was built in 1955 and from the south wing, which dates from the 1955s and was supplemented in 1977. In 2003, the main building of the high school in the northwest was supplemented by the architecture firm Klarmann from Metzingen. This is linked to the closed central building and a connection below with the existing main building. The center building closes the part of the building from 2003 and the north wing of 1955. A VGV procedure with a solution for teams is currently being made for the procedure Architects and structural engineers carried out. The decision on the result will be made at the end of July 2025. Technical studies of the building stock of the main building and the middle building have shown that general renovation is necessary. The building stock covers approx. 5,790 m2 Net area area.
