- The aim of the project is to use an integrative process to create a visitor steering concept for the County Garmisch-Partenkirchen district, which offers not only a strategic approach but also individual recommendations for action. Already initiated measures and traffic concepts of the region are to be bundled and synergies are created. The Zugspitz region GmbH is the economic development company of the district Garmisch-Partenkirchen and stands with the fields of action economies, health and social, agriculture, climate protection and energy as well as tourism for the sustainable development of the district. Likewise, Zugspitz Region GmbH is entrusted with the regional management of the district Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Regional management is a Bavaria-wide funding program for state development. The funds are provided by the Bavarian Ministry of Economics, State Development and Energy. The aim is to secure and expand the existing strengths of a region and to compensate for possible weaknesses of a region.
