Description:
As part of the implementation of measures in the third management cycle of the EU WFD, the Ministry for the Environment, Climate, Mobility, Agriculture and Consumer Protection of Saarland is calling for the near-natural Gehweiler sewage treatment plant to be converted into a technical plant with nitrification in the draft program of measuresitrification and P-elimination. The aim is to be able to comply with stricter limit values compared to Annex 1 of the Wastewater Ordinance. The subject of the planning is the services in the "Technical Equipment" service profile in accordance with Section 53 HOAI for the conversion of the existing Wadern pond sewage treatment plant-Gehweiler into a technical sewage treatment plant with further nitrification, denitrification and P elimination. The new sewage treatment plant will receive suitable mechanical cleaning consisting of a screen and a ventilated sand trap system as well as sludge storage. The BIOCOS process is used as a clarification processapplied. An expansion size of 2200 inhabitants is planned.
