- Electrical characterization is necessary to characterize and evaluate the structures produced. The measurements should be carried out at wafer level in order to record a sufficient database. A wafer probe is required for electrical contacting and its control,which automatically moves a manually loaded wafer (semi-automatic measurement). The measurements should include both individual probe tips and a probe card and both DC and RF measurements. The task of the wafer prober is to position and contact the sample.
