Workplace model oral exposure route - measurement methods of oral exposure
In order to ensure the protection of workers, risk assessments are carried out before chemicals are placed on the European market and for specific use in the workplacehrt. In addition to the analysis of dangerous substance properties, a risk assessment includes a comprehensive assessment of employee exposure, including all potentially relevant exposure pathways. Both inhalation and dermal exposure as well as oral exposure can have potentiall contribute to the overall exposure. Various scientific studies point to the relevance of oral exposure in the workplace. So far there are few proposals for non-standard sampling methods and few measurement data. In addition, a systematic, quantitativetative recording of oral exposure at the workplace has so far hardly been pursued in practice. The following three goals are pursued in this advertised research project:
